Kenneth Raynor Ellington, partner in architectural firm, was born in Clayton, the son of Jesse and Sallie Williamson Ellington. In 1914 he received the LL.B. degree from The University of North Carolina where he was a member of Gorgon's Head, an honorary society. After serving in the Navy Air Corps during World War I, he joined the architectural office of his brother Douglas in Asheville and participated in the work of the firm. (See Ellington, Douglas D.) A Baptist, he married Margaret Roberts in 1922 and they were the parents of a son, Eric Edward.
